Special train between Howrah and Mysore

The service is for Mahamastakabhishekha

HUBLI: In view of the Mahamastakabhishekha at Shravanabelagola, South Western Railway will run a special weekly train between Howrah and Mysore via Guntur, Nandyal, Dhone, Dharmavaram and Bangalore, according to a press release.

The Mahamastakabhishekha will be held from February 8 to 19.

TheHowrah-Mysore weekly special train (No. 0803) will leave Howrah at 3.45 p.m. on Wednesdays (January 25, February 2 and 8) and reach Mysore at 11.45 a.m. on Fridays.

In the return direction, the Mysore-Howrah weekly special train (0804) will leave Mysore at 8.45 p.m. on Fridays (January 27, February 3 and 10) and reach Howrah at 3.45 p.m. on Sundays.

The special train will have a total of 17 coaches, comprising one AC two-tier, one AC three-tier, ten second class sleepers, two general second class sleepers and two second class luggage-cum-brake vans and one pantry car, the press release said.

Two special trains

South Western Railway will run two more special trains between Vijayawada and Hubli and between Vijayawada and Mysore to clear the extra rush.

The Vijayawada-Hubli special train (0725) will leave Vijayawada at 8 p.m. on January 17 and 18 and arrive in Hubli at 2 p.m. the next day.

In the return direction, the Hubli-Vijayawada special train (0726) will leave Hubli at 3 p.m. on January 18 and 19 and reach Vijayawada at 9.40 a.m. the next day.

The Vijayawada-Mysore special train (0721) will leave Vijayawada at 5.15 p.m. on January 17 and 18 and reach Mysore at 2.15 p.m. the next day.

In the return direction, the Mysore-Vijayawada special train will leave Mysore at 9.15 p.m. on January 18 and 19 and arrive in Vijayawada at 4 p.m. the next day, the press release added.
