KOTTAYAM: Mar Mathew Moolakkatt was installed as the Archbishop of Archdiocese of Kottayam on Saturday. He is the second Archbishop of the Knanite Archdiocese. Major Archbishop Mar Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil led the ordination and installation ceremony at Christ the King Cathedral here. The outgoing Archbishop Mar Kuriakose Kunnassery and Nagpur Archbishop Mar Abraham Viruthikulangara were the co-celebrants. The Archbishop was given a public reception in the evening. In addition to a host of spiritual leaders from sister churches, Revenue Minister K.M. Mani, K. Suresh Kurup, MP, and the district authorities extended felicitation.
