ISRO offers support for development initiatives

KOCHI: Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) G. Madhavan Nair said the ISRO would extend support for the initiatives taken by Kerala to implement the 10-point Development Mission proposed by President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Dr. Nair was delivering the inaugural lecture in the Lecture Series organised by St. Albert's College, Ernakulam, on the Development Mission for Kerala proposed by the President, at the college on Sunday. The ISRO chairman pointed out that the President's vision, when implemented, can lead to a knowledge society built upon the application of high technology in the areas of education, healthcare, agriculture, community empowerment and governance. — Staff Reporter
