India, China to enhance ties

NEW DELHI:
India and China on Sunday agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation on issues relating to trafficking of narcotic drugs and set up a mechanism to enable exchange of information.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting, Director General of Narcotic Control Bureau K.C. Verma and his counterpart in the National Narcotics Control Commission of China, Yang Feng Rui, said both sides expressed the need to further strengthen interaction in supply and demand reductions.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged perceptions on the drug scenario in their respective countries as well as in the region. They agreed to hold the next meeting in China.
