ADILABAD : Adilabad MLA C. Ramchander Reddy on Sunday criticised the Telugu Desam Party's proposed `Godavari jalasadhana' march from the banks of the Pranahita river in Adilabad district. The march will end at the proposed site of the drinking water supply facility in Ranga Reddy district while charting its way along the course of the proposed water diversion scheme from Pranahita. Felicitating awardees in the fields of agriculture and allied activities here, the MLA charged that the Opposition was bent on creating problems for new irrigation projects. "To cite an example, the Opposition created problems in land acquisition for the Mattadivagu project," he alleged. Adilabad Municipal Chairman Digambar Rao Patil opined that awardee farmers be given award in kind. He suggested awarding them a pump set, an open well or any other facility. Collector R. Subba Rao said marketing of their own produce would add to income of farmers.
