Ahimsa Exnora 's plea

CHENNAI:
Ahimsa Exnora India on Sunday celebrated Mattu Pongal and reiterated its concern and care for animals and to rally against brutal killing of animals in India.
Exnora activists appealed to the Government to take steps to stop animal slaughter. At Vengu Chetty Lane off Mint Street, Exnora volunteers in a symbolic gesture worshipped cows in the neighbourhood by performing a special pooja. Locals too joined in the act.
Gouhar Azeez, J. Fatheraj Jain, R. Govindaraj, Viswanathan, Naina Shah, Lalitha Mohan, Faizal and Parmanandan were among the office bearers of Exnora who participated in the celebration. Ahimsa Exnora will launch continuous campaigns, seminars and awareness programmes in schools and colleges throughout the year in association with the Animal Welfare Board of India
