Joyce Meyer Festival ends; four lakh people attend fete

HYDERABAD: Curtains came down on the four-day Joyce Meyers Festival at the Parade Grounds here on Sunday.

According to the organisers, nearly four lakh people from all walks of life attended the festival that began on January 12.

The national conference that was conducted simultaneously with the prayer festival had 40,000 delegations from all over India.

Ms. Meyers, founder `Enjoying Everyday Life', exhorted the gathering to combat the pressures, obstacles and hindrances of life by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. She also underlined the need to foster the love of Christ in the society by helping unfortunate people, media co-ordinator for the event, P. Permanas, said in a statement.
