Baptist Churches' office-bearers

T.Ch. Immanuel and M. Ashok Kumar have been elected president and secretary respectively of the Convention of Baptist Churches of Northern Circars

The other office-bearers are are: K. Sukumar (attorney), K. Samarpana Rao (trust chairman), K. Williams (vice-president), Matta Vijaya Samrat (youth general secretary) and R.V. Prasad (treasurer). The elections were held at the valedictory of a three-day annual conference of the CBCNC held in the city recently.

CPI(M) meet today

City committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) will conduct a meeting to mark the death anniversary of Kundanala Bhaskara Rao on Monday. The meeting will be held at Marrichettu centre near Ramarajya Nagar in Vidyadharapuram.

Notice to CPI(M) leader draws flak

Vice-president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) urban unit Katragadda Naga Malleswara Rao (Babu) on Sunday came down heavily on the State Government for serving a notice on State secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) B.V. Raghavulu. Mr. Babu, in a press release, said that it was ridiculous on the part of the Government reacting to criticism in such a way and amounted to mockery of democracy.
