COIMBATORE: Bank of Baroda (BoB) plans to implement Core Banking Solution in 125 branches during this fiscal. The General Manager of the bank, J.K. Chandar, said here on Friday that the bank had launched a major technology-enabled business transformation project, including Core Banking Solution. It would be implemented in over 1,900 branches, including international branches, by March 2009. "The bank also intends to foray into new lines of business such as life insurance and stock broking." It planned to develop these businesses by entering into joint ventures and alliances with leading product and service suppliers. He was here to address the press on the bank's forthcoming Public Issue.
