Lending rate to go up: Purwar

MUMBAI: Indian Banks Association Chairman A. K. Purwar on Monday said the lending rates could go up by 25-50 basis points as pressure on liquidity due to the recently concluded Indian Millennium Deposit (IMD) redemption is likely to continue till the end of this financial year. Housing loan rates could also go up in the medium to long term,

Mr. Purwar said.
