THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bangalore University's Rehan Poncha and Shikha Tandon lived up to the pre-event predictions by setting three out of the four meet records that were set on the opening day of the all-India inter-university aquatic meet at the Water Works Swimming pool here on Monday. Coming back from a prolonged rest after the senior nationals, Rehan Poncha swam to new marks in 400m freestyle and 200m backstroke events. Rehan clocked 4:20.44s in 400m freestyle to sink Srinand Srinivas's old record (4:25.71) that was set last year. Like Rehan, Shikha was also competing after taking a long break.
