"No joint space mission with U.S."

Staff Correspondent

MYSORE: Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) G. Madhavan Nair on Monday said there was no proposal to send astronauts to space in collaboration with the U.S.

Speaking to presspersons here after presenting the University of Mysore Golden Jubilee Foundation Awards to five eminent personalities, he said ISRO was, however, exploring the possibility of a space mission along with the U.S. The U.S. had offered to include an Indian astronaut in its manned space mission during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to that country, he added.
