ALAPPUZHA: One person was killed and three others were injured when the Maruti Omni van in which they were travelling overturned at Eravankara, near Mavelikara, on Monday morning. The person killed has been identified by the police as Anwar, 12, of Fathima Manzil, Mannar, in the district. The injured have been identified as Fathima Beevi, mother of the deceased, her friend, Fathima, and Fathima's mother, Rasheeda Beevi. All are from Sencottah in Tamil Nadu and had settled down at Mannar. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals in Chettikulangara and Mavelikara.
