HYDERABAD: The APCC has decided to restrict the participation of the party cadre in the upcoming AICC plenary session by allowing entry only to invitees and special invitees. The APCC executive has appealed to the DCC presidents to ensure that the delegates of the AICC and PCC, ZP chairmen and members, mayors, MLAs and ex-MLAs, municipal corporation chairmen, chairmen of the Government corporations and boards, presidents of the market committees and MPPs come to the plenary session. "We want the people to understand the difficulties and constraints including the security aspects involved in the conduct of the plenary," APCC president K. Kesava Rao said. Briefing reporters after a meeting of the executive committee attended by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, he said the members expressed satisfaction at the arrangements made thus far. Senior AICC leaders including the general secretary, Digvijay Singh, the secretary, Jayakkumar and others would arrive in the city to review the arrangements. Replying to questions, he asked the Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti leaders not to politicise the issue, as "everyone understands the Congress' concern on the issue." To a query, he said that no defamation notices were served on the CPI (M) Polit Bureau member B.V. Raghavulu by the Government or the party. To another question, he said the party had decided against vacating the occupants of Bheemraowada adjacent to the Gandhi Bhavan for the construction of the proposed Indira Bhavan.
