dated January 19, 1956: Krishna Menon in Geneva

Mr. V.K. Krishna Menon had a private meeting for an hour in Geneva on January 17 with Mr. Wang Ping-nan, Chinese Ambassador to Warsaw and head of the Chinese delegation to the Sino-American talks. The two diplomats met during a stop-over of Mr. Menon's India-bound plane. The talks were held in a private room in Geneva's airport building. When Mr. Menon, who was looking extremely tired and ill, came out of the room with Mr. Wang, he said: "We talked about a number of things, but mainly about China and the United Nations."
