Letters to the Editor
While the editorial, `Bhardwaj must go' (Jan.18) is blunt, Harish Khare's article, `A dangerous incoherence at the core,' on the same day is a severe indictment of the UPA Government's functioning in the given context. Is the Prime Minister not asserting himself or is he not allowed to assert himself? Dr. Manmohan Singh should not allow his image and that of his Cabinet to be damaged by inefficient elements in his team any longer.
M.K.D. Prasada Rao,
R.P. Mehrotra,
I disagree with the views in the article. In any coalition government consisting of parties of varied ideologies, there will be differences on major economic, social, and political issues. But they always work out a compromise formula to keep the government going. It is the same with the UPA Government.
R. Thirunarayanan,
