Elections in three TPs

Belgaum: Elections to the posts of president and vice-president of Raibag, Chikkodi and Athani Taluk Panchayats will be held on Saturday.

According to official sources here, the posts of president and vice-president in Raibag are reserved for Backward Classes `A' and Scheduled Caste (woman) respectively. In Chikkodi, the president's post is reserved under Backward Classes `B' category, while the vice-president's post is under the general category.

In Athani, the president will be from Scheduled Castes and the vice-president from Backward Classes `B' category.
