MUMBAI: SBI Capital Markets (SBICAPS), the investment banking and project advisory subsidiary of State Bank of India, on Wednesday entered into an alliance with CLSA, a leading international investment banking, brokerage and asset management group, for investment banking transactions in India. "This alliance will further strengthen the position of the State Bank Group as a powerhouse of financial services for our corporate clients," said A. K. Purwar, Chairman, SBI, here. The alliance would jointly work on large deals in equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, advisory space and research. The alliance, he said, would leverage the linkages between the institutional investor client base of CLSA and the corporate and financial institutional client base of SBICAPS. The alliance will be for two years, which can be further extended mutually.
