NEW DELHI: It will be opening up a whole new dictionary for those whose vocabulary of Ireland was limited only to Bono, Pierce Brosnan and, of course, Guinness. Bringing alive the vibrant Emerald Isle with the bright blue seas, lush greens and its famed hospitality, the country is hoping to get Indians to travel just an hour away from their favourite destination -- the United Kingdom -- to Ireland. "India and Ireland have shared a great affinity for each other that historians and linguists have written about. We had deep and supportive links during the freedom movement. We hope to take this relationship to a new level of co-operation and will be signing a new formal cultural agreement with India on Thursday,'' said the Irish Minister for Arts, Sports and Tourism, John O' Donoghue, at a press conference in the Capital on Wednesday. And finding the "right" path to Indian hearts, the Irish are hoping to attract the film industry to its rather long shores. Part of an attempt to forge new bonds, the cultural agreement will now facilitate to have greater co-operation with each other.
