ANANTAPUR: Lack of police security prevented the authorities of district sub-jail at Reddypalli near here from producing the accused in the Paritala Ravindra murder case, including Suri and Moddu Sreenu, in the court here on Wednesday for extension of their judicial custody. The jail authorities submitted a memo to the court expressing their inability to produced the 13 accused in the case due to lack of police security. The jail authorities had, in fact, requested the district police in advance to provide sufficient security (escort) for moving the accused from the jail to the court. But, pre-occupation of the police available in the district with various duties has denied sufficient security for moving the accused to the court. As a result, Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, A. Jayaraj, extended the remand of the 13 accused in the case by another 14 days, till February 1.
