Hyderabad: An exhibition, consisting of 3,000 photographs that document the historical freedom struggle and also the post-independence era, will be organised at the venue of the AICC plenary at Gachibowli. APCC general secretary Yadav Reddy on Wednesday said that a pain-staking collection of old photographs, many of which were now collectors' items, would be on display to catch the spirit of pre- and post-independence India.

The first section termed `shaping the destiny' would depict the history of the country from 1885 to 1947. Next is the `Nehru-Sastri-Indira' era of development and progress. The third will be dedicated to `Rajiv-PV' period and the fourth section of the exhibition would be devoted to the `Sonia-Manmohan' period termed `sacrifice and economic resurgence' era.

Call centre for delegates

Mr. Reddy said the last section would lay emphasis on the `party over power' theory and the economic stability achieved under the Congress-led UPA rule in the last 20 months.

A call centre for sorting out problems of delegates will come into operation from Thursday. The centre will be linked to the control rooms at APCC headquarter, Gachibowli stadium and the airport and railway stations to assist the delegates. Information can be had by dialling 9885930000.

The control room will also email details of the plenary to lakhs of NRIs across the world from January 21.
