MADURAI : It is the time of the year higher secondary school teachers and students gain more attention as they gear up to take up the public examinations. With the Government putting an end to entrance examinations to professional courses, teachers and students are now concentrating more on recording unassailable scores. But a change in syllabi and question paper pattern for Physics and Chemistry has put a dent in their spirits. Any syllabus change will take time to find favour with student and teaching communities, as it has become a habit for schools to train students for Plus-Two examinations immediately after the tenth examinations. With a view to facilitating students to learn the subjects easily, Pebbles Infotainment has launched unique educational CDs for Plus-Two students. The multimedia CDs feature the new syllabi for Chemistry and Physics in a novel learning format. All aspects of the syllabi have been presented precisely with animations along with voice to enable students to understand the subjects better. A large number of diagrams, worked out problems, images and questions and answers are its main features. The topics covered in Chemistry under various heads are inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry and organic chemistry. In Physics, from electrostatics to electromagnetic waves and wave optics, various topics are covered. The CDs are interactive in nature describing the concepts visually through line diagrams represented by arrows in a lucid manner. The CDs are playable in computers with interactive facility. Each CD is priced at Rs.199 and is available at all leading bookstores. For enquiries, contact Malligai Book Centre - 2341739, Keestu Ganam - 2340005 and Spring Bloom - 2530825.
