Two lecturers terminated

Bangalore:
The Bangalore University Syndicate on Wednesday decided to terminate the services of two lecturers, Jayaram Naik and V.S. Eda, for not having made efforts to obtain a Ph.D. within the period stipulated in their appointment orders. The names of the lecturers are Jayaram Naik,
A lecturer in Library Science, Mr. Naik had joined service in 1996 and was given three years to obtain a doctorate but had not gone through the registration formalities. This was the case with Mr. Eda, Lecturer in University Law College, was joined service in 1992 and was given five years to obtain a Ph.D. With regard to five other lecturers, the Syndicate found they had made efforts to obtain doctorates and decided to give them more time.
