Rs. 1 lakh taken away from scooter

BANGALORE: A person lost Rs. 1 lakh kept in his scooter in HAL police station limits on Tuesday morning.

According to police, Venkatesh, the complainant, had withdrawn Rs. 2.5 lakhs from a bank in Mallathahalli for paying wages related to construction of his house. He kept the cash in the carrier of his scooter, and was driving to the place of construction. He stopped his scooter near a juice centre to quench his thirst. While he was drinking juice, he noticed a person removing the cash and running away. The HAL police have registered a case.

Chain snatched

Two motorcycle-bound persons relieved Laxmamma (65) of her gold chain estimated at Rs. 25,000 in 7th Cross of H.B.R. Layout 2nd Block on Monday night. The incident occurred when she was returning home after visiting a temple.

Body found

The body of a 41-year-old person was found in the Ulsoor Lake on Tuesday afternoon.

The police gave the name of the person as Kanikyaraju, resident of H.S.R Layout.
