NEW DELHI: In a new initiative, the Education Department of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Wednesday singed an agreement with the Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. to provide group accidental insurance to around 9 lakh students enrolled in the schools run or aided by the civic body. Under the policy, all students have been insured against any accident whether on the school premises or outside. The civic body will pay Rs.8.94 lakhs as yearly premium for the insurance policy that will be applicable for one year.
