IPCL Q3 net up
CHENNAI:
IPCL has reported a turnover of Rs. 2,412 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 against Rs. 2,203 crore in the corresponding period in 2004. The profit before tax and extraordinary items has risen to Rs. 314 crore from Rs. 282 crore. After providing taxation, the net profit has increased to Rs. 228 crore from Rs. 189 crore.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2005, the turnover has increased to Rs. 7,015 crore from Rs. 6,397 crore.
The profit before tax was Rs. 936 crore against Rs. 714 crore and after tax Rs. 756 crore as compared to Rs. 450 crore in the corresponding period in 2004-05.
