Lason to increase headcount

CHENNAI: Lason India, a subsidiary of Lason Inc. of the U.S. and provider of business process outsourcing solutions, plans to invest $1.5 million in its Chennai operation and add 1,600 jobs in India to support the growth of its business. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Ronald D. Risher, President and Chief Executive Officer, Lanson Inc, said the company was planning to make Chennai its hub and would distribute some of the low-end work to production centres located both in Chennai and Pondicherry.
