MADURAI: The recent offer of `lifetime connection' from mobile service providers has left many people confused over selecting the best of the lot. Though the condition for lifetime connection by all players is one and the same — that the pre-paid card should be recharged once every six months, the call charges per minute varies from operator to operator.

Savvy customers also look out for free services such as unlimited SMS.

Along with those who want to join afresh the ever-increasing mobile users' club, a chunk of post-paid users are thinking of jumping to pre-paid bandwagon. Some others are awaiting the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's decision on the Re. 1 call to any phone in the country announced by the Reliance Infocomm.
