Letters to the Editor
The Hindu has heralded a new era in the history of India's print journalism by appointing a Readers' Editor. It is hoped the move will strengthen the relationship between the readers and the newspaper.
Simanchal Badatya,
Is the appointment of a Readers' Editor in any way different from the concept of former workers' participation in management? When the first hint came from The Hindu , I was expecting a voracious reader of the paper to get the honour based on some systematic collection of individual profiles and due filtering. The person appointed does not fit the job description that was projected.
B.V. Kumar,
