Rs.1.50 cr. for road works

Nagercoil: The Government has allotted Rs. 1.50 crore for the maintenance of Aralvoimozhi-Nagercoil and Rajakkamangalam-Colachel Road.

Collector Sunil Paliwal told presspersons here on Thursday that a sum of Rs. 43 lakh had been allotted for the maintenance of a culvert at Erumpili on Eraviputhurkadai-Colachel road, Rs. 13 lakh for Vazhuthalampalam-Padoor road, Rs. 4.90 lakh for Thikkanamcode-Chemponvilai road, Rs. 12.60 lakh for Mulagumoodu-Colachel road, Rs. 5.60 lakh for Mulagumoodu-Karungal road, Rs. 96 lakh for Paraserry-Monday Market-Puthukadai road, Rs. 97 lakh for Kuzuthurai-Thengapattiam road, Rs. 12 lakh for Munchirai-Kappicadu road, Rs. 5 lakh for Munchirai-Ganapathiyankadavu road, Rs. 8 lakh for Mankadu-Ganapathiyankadavu road and Rs. 15 lakh for Vaikaloor road.

Works were going on in full swing and would be completed at the earliest, he added.
