Kolkata in final
VISAKHAPATNAM:
Mormugao and Kolkata will meet in Friday's final of the all-India major ports football tournament being held at Paradip, according to information received here.
Mormugao defeated Cochin 2-0 and Kolkata prevailed over host Paradip 2-1 in Thursday's semifinals. Mormugao led the first half by a 37th minute goal scored by F. Pereira. M. Monterio (50th) scored the other goal.
In the other semifinal, Souren Sikdar put Kolkota ahead in the 10th minute and Sandip Ghosh scored five minutes later. In the 60th minute, Kedar Nayak reduced the margin. — Special Correspondent
