Autorickshaw driver stabbed to death

KADAPA: An autorickshaw driver, Heeran Basha (23), was allegedly stabbed to death by his relative Ameer Basha near the railway gate on Kadapa-Rayachoti road late on Wednesday night.

An altercation ensued when Heeran Basha demanded Ameer Basha to repay his debt of Rs. 1,500 following which the latter stabbed Heeran Basha and fled, according to the police.

The accused is involved in two murders and some theft cases, the police said.

Girl dies in accident

An 18-month-old girl Nirosha of Nallaguttapalle in Ramapuram mandal died instantaneously and 10 handloom weavers of Rayachoti constituency sustained injuries when a jeep and a private bus collided near Madanapalle.
