Three Commercial Tax officials trapped

MYSORE: Three employees of the Commercial Tax Office here were trapped by the Lokayukta while they were allegedly accepting bribe from a businessman in lieu of issuing Form 37 for reduction of VAT.

The complainant Basavaraj told the Lokayukta that the staff sought Rs. 3,000 for issuing documents.

The accused were produced before a court which ordered their release on bail.
