KARIMNAGAR: Minister for Sports and Culture M. Satyanarayana Rao reviewed the arrangements for the golden jubilee celebrations of Sri Raja Rajeshwara (SRR) Degree College of Karimnagar town. The function is scheduled, tentatively, for February. At a review meeting here with the college authorities, the Minister assured to take the responsibility of inviting Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy for the celebrations. The college was sanctioned by former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao 50 years ago. The college authorities have planned to invite academicians, alumni and others eminent personalities for the celebrations. Government whip D Sridhar, ZP chairman K V Rajeshwara Rao, District Collector C. Parthasarathi, Mayor D. Shankar, AP Markfed chairman Ponnam Prabhakar, Karimnagar market committee chairman Y Sunil Rao, and college principal B Ramchander Rao were present.
