Gurudas Mann concert
BANGRA POP, as it is often called is relatively new to this city, despite the likes of Daler Mehandi regularly cavorting on the small screens. Another Punjabi Pop singer Gurudas Mann will perform at the Palace Grounds on Saturday. It will be the eve of Lohri, a Punjabi festival, we are told.
Gurudas Mann was all set to become a sports coach as many of his kin did, when a talent scout was captivated by his singing and gave him a break, says the singer's bio. He has released 29 albums and written lyrics for 230 songs. Part of the ticket sales will go for the mentally challenged children of Mathoshree Manovikas Kendra.
