Power cut

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in the following areas between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, due to maintenance work: Parts of Flower Bazaar, T.V.Pet, Kottivakkam, Park Town, Kilpauk, Purasawalkam, Ambattur, Mandaveli, Nammalwarpet, Korattur, Ramapuram SS, Anna Nagar, Royapettah (Whites Road), Puzhal, Pattabiram and Gopalapuram.

Higher studies in France

Disaster management workshop

The Department of Bank Management, Ethiraj College for Women, is organising a State level workshop on `Environmental Sensitisation and Disaster Management," on Saturday. M.Nageswaran, Regional Level Co-ordinator, South, IOCL will deliver the keynote address. Eminent professors from IIT, Anna University and CLRI will be resource persons for the workshop.

Camp for children

Lions Club International Dist.324 A5 jointly conducted a MMR camp for over 200 children in Perambur on Thursday. Participants of the camp were given breakfast, tea and biscuits.

Book release

Computer security expert Ankit Fadia will visit Landmark on Friday at 6.30 p.m., for the launch of his latest set of books on hacking and Internet security. Fadia has authored several best sellers on topics related to Internet security.

Loan mela

Knowledge management

The ISTD cell of GSS Jain College for women organised a guest lecture on `Knowledge management' by Geetha Swaminathan, Manager, Corporate Training & Development, Bahwancybertek on January 12. In her address, she covered areas such as knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing and conversion of knowledge into money.

Crafts exhibition

Rajasthan Handicrafts & Handlooms is organising a special exhibition titled `products' at Ramakrishna Marriage Hall, No.29, Arunachalam Road, Saligramam (Near Prasad studio). About 60 craftsmen would exhibit their products. A 10-20 per cent discount will be offered. The exhibition will be open all seven days.
