GUNTUR: A 17-year-old boy died while three others were injured when the roof a building which they were demolishing collapsed in Kothapeta area of Guntur on Thursday. The building belongs to a doctor. Five labourers were engaged in the work when the ground floor gave way. The deceased, Ramesh, fell from the roof and the entire debris fell on him giving no scope for anyone to rescue him. Three others -- Yedukondalu, 30, Philip Raju 23, and Tanmbi Setti Gangaiah, 50, also came down but escaped with injuries. Thirty persons had to remove a piece of the concrete roof to rescue two workers, who sustained severe injuries. He was treated in V.S. Hospital, belonging to the owner of the building, and later shifted to Government General Hospital.
