Airhostess student dies in accident

BANGALORE: N.D. Pooja, 18, from Mysore was fatally knocked down by a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus here on Thursday evening.

She was riding her scooter on Cubbon Road in Commercial Street police station limits when the bus hit her vehicle from behind. She died on the spot. Maran, bus driver, was arrested.

The police said the victim was a student of an airhostess-training institute on Infantry Road. She was staying with her relative at Vyalikaval.
