LONDON: The British Government was on Friday forced once again to deny fresh accusations of a cover-up over CIA planes using U.K. airports to carry alleged terror suspects to countries where they may have been tortured. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw told the Commons that the Government had already made public details of American requests to use British airspace or airport facilities for "extraordinary rendition'' of prisoners. In a written statement, he said the Government was not aware of any other cases other than the two it had already told the MPs about. Mr. Straw's statement followed calls for an inquiry after a leaked Foreign Office memo was seen to suggest that Government claims on the issue might have been misleading.
