Staff Reporter

Party will protest against JD(S) `rebel' group's plan

BANGALORE: The State unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) will organise demonstrations in several places in the State on Saturday in protest against the Janata Dal (Secular) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy aligning with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

State unit General Secretary G.N. Nagaraj said here on Friday that the party will hold the protests along with "progressive and secular forces".

He criticised Mr. Kumaraswamy for accepting support from the BJP "for the sake of power and at the cost of secularism". Addressing presspersons, Mr. Nagaraj said the decision will strengthen "communal forces represented by the BJP".
