VIJAYAWADA: The four-day all-India inter-university archery championship for men and women begins at Acharya Nagarjuna University campus on Saturday. Teams from 38 universities will be participating, said the University physical director, Y. Kishore, here on Friday. Several international archers Olympian Sumangala Sharma, Mangal Singh Champia, Ch Lenin, N. Ravinder, Bulbul Marande, Priyank and Kapil would be seen in action. Competitions will be held in Indian round for men and women (50m, 30m), FITA recurve round for men (90m, 70m, 50m, 30m) and FITA recurve for women (70m, 60m, 50m, 30m). The Indian university team to take part in the World university championships will be selected on the concluding day of the event. Sports Reporter
