PMK exults in lifting of ban

CHENNAI:
The State Government's decision to lift the ban on recruitment in government departments is a personal victory for the Pattali Makkal Katchi, claimed its founder-leader S. Ramadoss here on Thursday.
Reacting to the Chief Minister's announcement, Dr. Ramadoss said his party had been fighting for it for the last four and a half years.
At the fag end of its tenure, it decided to lift the ban, as it knew that the onus of filling the post would only fall on the next Government.
But the decision would gladden the hearts of lakhs of unemployed in the State, Dr. Ramadoss added.
