CHENNAI: If you are looking to buy land, a flat, grills for the house, furniture, your shade of pink, or a fancy kitchen sink, the place to be is YMCA grounds in Royapettah. At The Hindu Property Plus fair-Living Spaces 2006, there is an even chance you might just find the right product at the right price and, yes, even `mera wala pink.'

Inaugurated on Friday by Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority Vice-Chairperson Jayanthi, Living Spaces will open up vistas for buyers, sellers, businessmen and homemakers. With over 80 stalls under a roof, showcasing a variety of real estate, finance and home-care products and services, there are literally several answers to a range of questions at one venue.

Over 25 stalls in the enclosed air-conditioned area have been taken by builders and real estate promoters, drawing the attention of the public to the plots, farmlands and other commercial property for sale in the city. Even a builder from Bangalore has set up stall at The Hindu Property Plus' second such fair.

Banks put up stalls

Twelve display stations have been taken up by banks, which offer a wide range of financial services, loan options for purchasing land, construction and even transfer of loans.

The largest number of stalls, just under 50, focus on micro and macro accessories for the household and buildings. From digital inverters to solar markets, kitchenette furnishings, doors, grill-furniture, mirrors, metal and woodcraft, marble, tiles and paint, take a walk along the aisles between the stalls to discover new things you can do to your house.

An expansive food stall, situated behind the fair area, complements Living Spaces 2006. The show will be on until 8 p.m. on Monday.
