Power shutdown

BESCOM has announced a mass disconnection drive in some areas and asked consumers to settle their arrears immediately to avoid disconnection. The areas where the drive will be taken up are K.H. Halli, New Bagalur Layout, LIDKAR Quarters, Sait Lane, Venkateshpura, Vinoba Nagar, Hidayat Nagar, Pillanna Garden 1st and 3rd Stage, Tannery Road, A.K. Colony, Gandhi Grama, Gundappa Block and Pottery Road.

Rehabilitation camp

Agadi Centre for Physical Medicine and Neuro Rehabilitation will conduct free stroke rehabilitation and screening camp on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on its premises in Wilson Garden. Details can be had on 51207337/ 51207339.

Training

The Multi Disciplinary Training Centre will conduct a six-month training programme in manufacturing of leather footwear and other leather goods from February 1 on its premises near FCI Godown, Vijinapura, Doorvaninagar. Sanskrit classes

Samskrita Bharati will conduct Sanskrit classes from January 28 till April 2 on Saturdays and Sundays between 9 a.m. and noon. The classes will be held at Aksharam, 8th Cross, 2nd Phase, Girinagar, Bangalore.

Jashn-e-Ghadeer

To commemorate the coronation of Vilayat of Imam Ali by Prophet Mohammed, Idara-e-Faizul Islam will celebrate Jashn-e-Ghadeer at Asthana-e-Hussaini in Neelsandra at 8 p.m. on Saturday. On the occasion, noted Urdu poets will pay tributes to Imam Ali. Details can be had on 25701189.
