Helpful cadets

Hundreds of National Cadet Corps (NCC) volunteers offer a welcome sight at venues of the State Schools Kalotsavam.

Selected from schools in Ernakulam, these students brave the scorching heat to provide assistance to participants and organisers.

At the Marine Drive venue, a group was seen guiding visitors to the main pandal. Another group was busy shifting chairs from the backstage. A few cadets were seen distributing water to officials and media persons.

Cadets were posted for duty at several entry points, along with police officials. Students from the Government Girls' Higher Secondary School (HSS), Ernakulam, were seen guarding the food pandal at St. Albert's HSS. From checking coupons to directing participants to the stage, the cadets performed their task with ease. Students welcomed guests with a smile.

They also took time off to cheer friends participating in various events. Cadets are posted to various venues in the morning. They can leave before the beginning of the evening session.
