Kozhikode football league

KOZHIKODE: The Videocon Kozhikode District football league will kick off at the Corporation Stadium here on January 25. "This year all the matches will be played at the Corporation Stadium," the Kozhikode District Football Association (KDFA) secretary, A.V.M. Ashraf, said at a press meet here on Saturday.

The league will have 54 teams battling it out in four divisions. "We are all happy that we have been able to get the league sponsored for the eighth straight year," said P.N. Sankaran, Director, Procam International.

On January 23, the KDFA will conduct a seminar here on the change of rules introduced by FIFA recently for the clubs, coaches and physical education teachers in Kozhikode district. - Principal Correspondent
