All set for Vijayawada run

VIJAYAWADA: The stage is set for the Vijayawada run organised by the Strategic Team for Reinforcement and Improvement of Vijayawada's Ecology (STRIVE), a non-profit organisation, with nearly 20,000 eager participants from all age groups likely to participate in the mega event.

The event kicks off from Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium. The organisers have set up 12 registration centres in city and as many as 17,000 names were registered so far. For the benefit of runners, the committee has set up a counter at the IGMC stadium where names would be registered on Sunday morning too. Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association president Lagadapati Rajagopal would flag off the run. Many celebrities would participate to add grace the event.
