Mukesh Ambani to co-chair world forum

Youngest Indian business leader to have been nominated to this position

Mumbai: Chairman and Managing Director of the Reliance Industries Limited Mukesh Ambani has been nominated as the co-chair at the World Economic Forum(WEF) for its annual summit beginning on January 25.

Mr. Ambani is the youngest Indian business leader to have been nominated to this position, a release issued by RIL said here on Sunday.

Hewill be sharing the honours with Peter Brbeck-Letmathe, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Nestle SA, Sir Mrtin Sorrell, Group Chief Executive, WPP Plc, Ana P. Botin, Chairman Banco Espanol de Credito and Lawrence H. Summers, President, Harvard University.

"India everywhere"

The WEF has recognised importance of India and special theme is planned for the three days titled ``India everywhere''.

The RIL is India's largest private sector with a turnover of Rs. 73,164 crore ($ 16.7 billion) and with a cash profit of Rs. 12,087 crores. — PTI
