Kalarippayattu exponent dead

Thiruvananthapuram: Noted Kalarippayattu exponent and founder of the CVN Kalari C.V.Govindankutty Nair died here on Sunday morning following a brief illness. He was 76.

Govindankutty Nair had staged Kalarippayattu performances in several countries. He established the CVN Kalari in 1956 and the Kerala Kalarippayatu Association in 1958 by coordinating several Kalaris across the State. He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
