Mystery shrouds woman's death

VIJAYAWADA: A woman died under suspicious circumstances at her house in Gollapudi Karakatta on Sunday.

The One-Town police said that Allam Nagamani, 36, was married to Anjaneyulu, an electrician, nine years ago and the couple had two children. A heated exchange took place between the couple over a petty issue on Saturday morning and Anjaneyulu left for his work as usual on Sunday morning.

The children left for Church, leaving Nagamani alone in the house. The children and their father, who returned home in the afternoon, found Nagamani's body hanging from the ceiling fan. The police suspected that Nagamani might have resorted to the extreme step following the quarrel with her husband.
